Of the eleven bedrooms at Oakdene, six are in the oldest part of the house, named after the local fells.
Risefell is a twin bedroom that is south facing, over looking the garden and pond at the front of the house. It has an ensuite shower room with a large shower and heated towel rail.
Holme Knott is a twin bedroom on the south west corner of the property with fantastic views of Frostrow, and the gardens, as well as views over Sedbergh and Winder. It has an ensuite with shower and heated towel rail.
Frostrow is a single bedroom over looking the garden and pond at the front of the house. It has an ensuite shower room with heated towel rail.
Winder is a double room featuring an original victorian fireplace. The room enjoys a beautiful view of Sedbergh, nestling beneath the Howgill fells. It has a recently fitted ensuite with a large shower and heated towel rail.
Crook features a double four-poster bed, original victorian fireplace and modern en-suite bathroom. Situated on the north west corner of the house the room has views over Sedbergh, and the Howgill fells.
Baugh Fell is a twin room at the rear of the house, which looks out over the Howgill feels, and features a traditional victorian bathroom.
Two ground floor bedrooms in the youngest part of the house offer easy access. There is one double room and one twin room, both with en-suite showers and heated towel rail.
There is one double, one twin and one single room on the first floor of the extension. Bedrooms 9 and 11 have an ensuite shower, whilst bedroom 10 has a bath with a shower.
It is a really beautiful and classic English old house. We really enjoyed the family stay! It is easy and beautiful drive to the Lake District.
